Living in the States, I was quite proud of my Battle/Action Force collection, especially since it was before I even knew about this site! I created my own title page, introduction, and table of contents, had all 50 issues of AF bound, along with Transformers 125, World Enemy #1 & The Baroness from BAF, and I included the "Argen 7 Elite" digital comic produced for this site, as well as some of the contests and text stories from the AF annuals in back. Now that I've got it in my hands, I love it, but there are some things I'd do differently. Thanks to Baron and the rest for really inspiring me to put it together--I find it's a lot more convenient to read in one big volume! Great work!, is this a one off ? It looks a very professional job & ready for the bookshelfs of the worlds comic shops.

Yup, it's a one of. I printed up the custom pages/scans, then mailed them off to a company that binds journals and things. I made sure I had another set of the Action Force issues though, so I'm already thinking I'd like to do it over, but eliminate the GI Joe reprint material so there's more room to include Red Shadow/BAF stuff at the front. Those wonky contests are great too, but I might leave them out next time, again to focus on more Red Shadow/BAF stuff. Thanks for looking!

I'm guessing it's fairly easy to pick up the U.S. Marvel comics in trade paperback nowadays, so dropping the reprints wouldn't hurt too much, how would it effect the U.K. "intro's & outros" to some stories I wonder?
How did you ever manage to piece together the I.P.C. comic's ?..that can be hard enough to do in the U.K. let alone where you live.

Well, I started looking on www.ebay.co.uk instead of www.ebay.com, and found a whole new world. I got reintroduced to Action Force from Lars Pearson's _Now You Know_ (an awesome reference book!), and branched out to BAF from there. I enjoy the SAS/Z/Q Force stuff, but I really like the alternate origins and the Red Shadows as a third party thrown into the mix. I love that IPC gave the baroness an origin, and that her given name is *NOT* deCobray or whatever. I grew up on the Hama stuff, joined the military because of it, and will always respect it. I've got to say though, the British stuff does a much better job at making Cobra really seem like an international menace with fanatical supporters--years before Sept. 11 but that in American's minds. So, I got a few of the BAF stories off of ebay but shipping to the US is a killer so I stopped.
The Brit AF stories stand up pretty well on their own, I was actually just a little leary of cutting pages out, plus it's a little more difficult since I love the ads, letter pages, tac pages, and even the Moench/Gulacy Shang Chi back up stories. I think Revenge of the Red Shadows would be a great addition, and maybe some of the stories where GI Joe interacts with the traditional BAF crew would be nice too. Anyway, thanks again for looking!
