The Future......

Post by steve »

What happens next?

The Archives for the Original AF + The Red Shadow Era are now virtually complete. We are still missing a few images and such, but every figure and vehicle is now present and has an image of some kind.

The Next project is of course the Cobra Era Figures, which as you may have noticed I have already made a rough start on.

But then what? :?:

There are a couple of suggestions that have been made that are worth looking at:
Tracking down the TV ads
Other Miscellaneous Items - eg Fan Club material, video games
Trying to find some Palitoy employees who were involved in the design process

Is there anything else that you think the site should look at in the future :?: :?:

The Action Force Computer Game was a cartridge for the Atari 2600 Console  !

For the emulator - try http://stella.sourceforge.net/
For the game - try http://rwaol.metaweb.com.br/smor/rwaonl ... ta/0062/a/

Although of course I must point out that images of a ROM cartridge game are of course a breach of copyright law

Ive got this working (but cant do anything gameplay wise) on an old old laptop from a floppy, I would be careful about using it on your main PC!

Id forgotten just how primitive Atari Games were  !

Unfortunately the Game is only an Action Force version of GI Joe Cobra Strike, but it was sold as Action Man: Action Force in 1983, so it can be argued to be the first UK Cobra product  SO no Red Shadows

I think you are right about the GiJoe Action Force, the sites interest will be limited to the Palitoy Red Pack Era.

No Joy so far on the advert front

But the official Action man web site has posted some 1970s Action Man adverts :P :
http://www.actionman.com/main.cfm?languageID=1

Click on the collectors button at the left of the screen.

No mention of Action Force in their history though
