I don't know whether Bronze Bombers were officially released in Europe or not, but as far as I recall I have seen them pass by. Not 100% sure about that, because their body molds were also used by Remco and Galoob for other action figures: Gen. Patch, A-Team, Defenders of Peace.

Around 1980 Galoob released both A-Team and Gen. Patch in the Netherlands.

Gen Patch

Post by Captain-DC »

I have seen most of those figures before. Very nice to see them again. Some of those i do have. I have many Remco figures. They seem to made allot... Way to many. Some i have & most i don't... They made to many to keep up with back then.

Gen Patch? I never saw that line here in the USA. Was it released just in the UK or did it also get an USA Release? Thanks!

Gen. Patch was fighting Evil Enemy. Total of 5 different figures, some sets came with parachutes. All weapons were exactly like A-team, only completely black. Cannot recall any vehicles. Every figure came with a small comic, two different versions.

As a kid I remember one top corner was cut off the card back, because it contained too strong language for kids! The text was something like: "Action Heroes, so real you can the smell of Battle". Remember, that was back in 1981!

To make my figures more realistic I gave them battle wear with candle smoke. I swapped heads to have more different individuals in stead of 5x the same figure. See pictures below for my original figures. Not for sale!

This is a Remco figure I am not able to identify:

Remco?

Post by Captain-DC »

I don't know who the bottom guy is either. Can't remember any of him. At least i don't have it. Of course Remco made so so so many different 3 3/4" lines under many different names. And even different stores carried lines with certain names for just thier stores. Like K-Mart it was by: Remco called American Defense..

Meijer here had Remco "U.S. Forces"

Woolworth had Remco also. So did Service Merchandise! And all. Man O' Man those were days. Almost every figure line on the market in those days most were 3 3/4" action figure lines. Too bad the figures these day are not Mostly 3 3/4" figure lines... But in some ways to day tho, that may be a good thing for me anyways. Because if they were all 3 3/4" figure line's i have Star Wars, G.I.Joe, Chap Mei, The Corps! Lines... And if they were all 3 3/4" lines??? I'd be in a heap of trouble getting all those these days.

Remco had many different figure lines for Toys 'R' Us many different names... But in those days we didn't have a Toys 'R' Us here in this city back then. So i didn't get a chance to get those in those days. Now we have a Toys 'R' Us and now their are no Remco figures.... BooHoo!
