Ahh, so is the Radio Operator a hybrid from the rat body (as Red Shadow head is to German Stormtrooper)?

I've got nothing to hand to look at.

Great thread :-D

Palitoy really got their moneys worth out of the guy who sculpted the :AFLogo: line didn't they?
Was it a case of not having the money to develope new body parts for the line? :kraken: & :skeletron: seem, sculpt & detail wise @ least, to have been done by a different designer or team to me, just as all of the Joe repaints where.
On :kraken:, the detaills like his scales seem to be sharper & better defined compared, say to "softer" edges & details on :wolf:' torso & other figures of the line.
More news, as its made, from new Action Force!

Absolutely, the investment made in any new product to market is huge (I used to work in product design and the development cost in something as humble as a potato peeler was around £30K in design, development, packaging and manufacture) and you have to make the use of what you can when you can.

It still goes on today, how many re-packs and re-issues of current toys do you see?

In terms of individual scupts, they will be down to the style of sculptor, but these were working from the reference sketches/. images of the character provided.

Dave.
