Apparently there's nothing in either Joe oe AF universes to say his arm is artificial!!!!!Ross SC wrote:havent given this major bludd an artificial arm coz i see this as him before his days with cobra, does anybody know the story behind his loss of arm? is it even lost?!
Great customs Ross. My AF days were pre-Vipers (at least I did get Budo and Dial Tone but didn't buy the Vipers) so seeing and larning about these different Vipers is really interesting.

Could it be living tissue over a metal endoskeleton?

"the bludd looks cool primed up, the way joes are painted flat colour you dont notice the detail so much, like this it really stands ont!"
I think that most of the later (91-94) figures are well sculpted but are let down by horrible neon colours, the battle corps beach-head for example, he's a great sculpt but the colours kill it. Same thing with Dr Mindbender in 93, I like the look of the redesign but the bright yellow paint app's mean I'd never go out of my way to buy one.http://www.yojoe.com/action/93/allgeare ... der2.shtml

even the ones that arent garish can be improved with a little shading!
this is the base figure for what im working on @ the moment:

this pic really doesnt do the sculpt justice, but im really looking forward to finishing this off!

Yeah..
It's a real shame that after such hard work was put into the sculpted details by the designers, they go & spoil it all with a duff paint job or stupid bright neon colours that would disgrace a Power Ranger..
Maybe it was the shade of yellow Palitoy used, but how come
don't look outright stupid in yellow & blue uniforms & yet the later Joes do?

Re: SAND VIPER (finished pics added)
i think the fact that they are far simpler sculpts helps. dont get me wrong, very realistic sculpts, but not over the top!

Yep, the Joes may have better posability..but the
guys are better & more realistically proportioned.
