Don't you just love it when you find that small piece that completes something..it's often just as exciting as buying the big showpiece item.

I don't go to half as many boot sales nowadays..for one thing I think time has had an effect on the availability of the things I collect & as I live out in the sticks, it was costing me a small fortune in petrol just to come home with next to nothing or worse, lots of things I dont really collect, just because it was a bargain. I mean, I came home with another 12" Cpt Scarlet figure last weekend just because "he only cost a pound"..thats @ least 4 I've got now.

It amazes me that some boys didn't get into action figures, SW/ AF/ He Man etc, that would be like never having played with Lego

Thankfully, I live 2 mins away from this one and it's beside the park etc.

What is this silver that you speak of SteveD?

Is it the thrill of the chase that keeps me going back to car boots then? I used to get excited watching items on eBay but bugger me they go for silly money now. Especially the Red Shadows WTF?
My favorite part of car boot sales is what I call 'rooters'. A big plastic tub full of action figures that you can have a 'root' around in!

wouldn't mind if there were some vintage Action Man, but it's always stuff that was probably made in the last 10 years

Nothing better than rummaging through a big ol' ice cream tub full of old figures..it's worth looking in the boxes of new Actionman stuff, sometimes you can find bit's that were "inherited" from dads old Am toys, same goes for the newer star wars fgures as well.
