My hatred of modern figures is well documented, so I'm not really saying anything new here, but what on earth is going on with the legs on the Baroness figure?

The Scarlet is pretty awefull too.

I guess they are meant to be wearing high heeled shoes [which are obviously very practical in combat situations...], but still? The legs look totally oversized and ridiculous [imho....]

the Streetfighter flick was a half-decent action movie. as a Streetfighter movie, it sucked elephant balls.

I'm a big SF2 fan and the movie got it soooo wrong, but I still enjoyed it and bought the DVD.

The whole Blanka/Dhalsim/Charlie thing was a joke !

My thoughts exactly..... at least it knocks her down to mere 'iffy action figure' status so I don't start perving over plastic figures again.

Erm, totally unconnected to that comment (honest) I have to say that the General Hawk figure has a great likeness for Dennis Quaid - assuming that's intentional of course.

Otherwise I agree with what's been said - they've got great potential for customising and nowt much else in my opinion.

Steve

PS: As for the film, I'm sure it will be a success in terms of making money simply due to the franchise, marketing and time of year - hell, I may even come out of cinema retirement and go see this on the big screen. Just remind me to go at a time when kids, teenagers and pissed up numpties who can't shut up or eat with their mouths closed aren't there.... hah.

considering he's playing Hawk, yes it is.

the hawk figure is good, they got the face just right.
a LOT of potential for custom parts, nearly all of them have something i want but with the exception of snake eyes (thats stalker for all you snobs!) hawk & possibly storm shadow they all have something i hate about them! destro's head is terrible & the cobre commander needs to be burnt!

Hah! Yep, I know - I meant it being 'intentional' in the sense that usually the manufacturers get lucky with likenesses and perhaps Quaid just looks accurate because his face is similar to those used with most action figure moulds!
:cmmdr:

Either way, it's a good likeness but I'm not sure about him in the film's role.

It's a conundrum. Which came first, Dennis Quaid's face or the Hawk action figure?

Was Quaid chosen for the role because he looked like the toy, or did they choose the toy becuase it looked like Quaid?

I fear this is one of those universal mysteries where we shall never know the answer, or that would drive you mad were you to ever learn the turth.
