Not sure if you had these in the UK or not, but that shorter strap sure looks like one of the figure holders from this display case.

No pics but there are two sizes, one about eight inches long, the other about five. Two tabs on the bottom to hold it in place. On the top is a grooved area to place the name stickers on. Hope that helps.
