Re: Darwinism, AF-stylee!
wasn't the AF5 also used for the Shadowtrak?

Re: Darwinism, AF-stylee!
LDR, you need to read my earlier post in the same thread viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2916&start=10. The Falcon dish was used to create the mould for what looks like to be the mock-up prototype piece. There is no mistaking this as:LDR wrote:so are you saying the falcon radar dish is the part on the underside of the Satelite Defense?
dont mean to be rude, but the pattern on the falcon radar moulds pictured, is slightly different to the pattern on the underside of the Satelite Defense.
a) The pattern matches both the Falcon dish AND the part for the Sat Def.
b) There was both a cut and uncut piece present.
c) There was also a loose Falcon dish with both pieces in the same find.
For the final production piece, the detail was altered, as was the case of the Sealion/ AT-ST hatch and the Cosmic Cruiser/ Snowspeeder engine.
Hope that helps.
Dave.
Now for bonus points, can anyone identify the panel on the Sat Def behind the pilot? Has that been used elsewhere on any Joe vehicles?

Re: Darwinism, AF-stylee!
I'm flustered now - did the AF5 come with an inflatable ring or not?
Re: Darwinism, AF-stylee!
no, looking at that evolution pic, the float ring's off the deep sea diver's doohickey.
Re: Darwinism, AF-stylee!
But looking at the AF5 promo comic there is definitely a panel of it in hovercraft mode.

Re: Darwinism, AF-stylee!
I definitely came with the yellow ring. I used to have one boxed, but I sold it on many moons ago, as the box was in a very bad way. It then took me ages to get a complete loose one, so really I should have just opened the one I had.
No photos to categorically prove this one though I'm afraid.

That's it!!!meertoh wrote:As with the guns, it's from the VAMP/Panther, there's an identical panel behind the seats beneath the rollbar. I'll take a pic later.Dave Tree wrote:

I no longer own a Panther, but knew I had seen it somewhere

Thanks.

Yep, and theSundance wrote:wasn't the AF5 also used for the Shadowtrak?

Fiddly little one this, and I'm nowhere near the collection to check, but the little part that attaches the big side missile to the swordfish and the bits at the back of the AF5 that lower the jets?
