Have heard and even seen copies of the BAF that had a figure with it.....man how cool was that? You'd have been able to practically buy the whole collection at what? 23p a copy! Wish I was 31 back then....I'd have bought shitloads....!

Me too. Cleaned me right out and they only lasted half a day on the stands. A few kids I knew were into BAF and a few of them into AF. The Baron and Eagle..... what a day.

Iirc "Free Figure" was plastered across the front. Should be able to spot it in the Barons cover archive. We never got any freebies in NZ, so I was gob smacked when they hit the shelves, Steve.

Thanks Baron - knew you'd know! ACcording to my list I have that issue too. Once I put them into date order it'll no doubt show up.

And Jonesy - your collection continues to amaze me. Every time I mention something or ask about something - BOOM! There it is within a few days - thanks for sharing.

It went very, very slowly. Once I'd cleaned all the grubby finger marks off the glass shelves, and unpacked all the boxes, only to sort everything out into teams, and allocated shelves for each crew, and answered several phone calls from family members (how rude of them to interupt my geek evening! very inconsiderate!) it was time for bed (or time for making chutney!). So now it just looks like I've made even more of a mess upstairs than there previously was. But it's got to get messier before it gets tidier.

Unfortunately some items are way too bid for my cabinets - Z Force base, Series 1 base, Skystriker, Whale (no surprises there - the things freaking huge!),Rattler and Hydro foil, so they will have to go back into boxes I'm afraid. The suggestion I suspend them from the ceiling generated a look that showed, without any doubt, that it was "a step too far".

I also have so many duplicates of some items so I'm going to be flogging/trading a few bits and bobs over next few weeks - if I try to put everything in they will only look messy, and I'm sure that there's not really much need for four FANG choppers, three Cobra Hiss Tanks etc. I'll stick a seperate post up for the "items to go" list.

Pics will definitely follow, once I get it sorted and presentable (so maybe next Xmas the rate I'm going).
