Re: FANG v HAWK
My MIB FANG is the yellow version, just comes with a generic cobra sticker sheet and relevant blue-print and cobra trooper.

I totally agree with that Steve, the yellow is so much better than the red.
I might be wrong, I'm speaking from memory rather than checking, but I'm pretty sure that the earlier releases [commander offer cardback] have the yellow logo and the more recent ones [skeletron cardback] have the red logo.
So they changed from yellow to red. Which is odd as its clearly not as good in red and the yellow matched the general 'team colours' better.
Of course I might be wrong. The yellow or red logo 'might' have something to do with production origin. The cards printed for certain regions were red and some were yellow, but I'm just hypothesising really....
Obsessive of me, I know, but wonder why they changed the "Q" from red to yellow (or vice versa) on the packaging. I always thought the red one didn't look right - wonder if they realised the same thing, or thought it looked too similar to Z Force.

I don't have a carded Stringray to hand, but are they not tucked in with the stickers?SteveD wrote:Applying a bit of logic to it - the fact that there's an instructions sheet for it in the archive means it must've come boxed too - as the carded one had no instructions in with it.jonesy1275 wrote:Yeah, the Sat Defence is mine and after seeing a pic of the Stingray, I'm definite that I've got one.

The Stringray is a cracking toy, I love how the driver has two different positions.

It's one of my Fav's too, along with the Sat Defence. The Baron wrote:The Stringray is a cracking toy, I love how the driver has two different positions.
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?
Re: FANG v HAWK
Just checked - the earlier ones (commander mail away) have the yellow Q, the skeletron ones have the red Q, so they did indeed change yellow to red. Fools! It looks nowhere near as cool.

Re: FANG v HAWK
I don't know if this contributed to the number of Hawks with Cobra FANG stickers out there, but I remember that in one of the issues of BAF, they gave away sticker sheets to encourage and allow you to upgrade your vehicles. I remember peeling off all the SAS stickers and converting the Hawk into a FANG. I added extra go faster stripes to my Hovercraft.
I also stuck a Cobra sign on the underside of my parents staircase, as it was the entrance into their base. I'm pretty sure it's still there too

Quickfire, you've made 510 posts over the years.

Can't break with tradition Paul
Galactic Monkey, any chance I could get a copy/scan of the FANG stickers? Or is it the same as the one in the archive?

Re: FANG v HAWK
It'll be the generic Cobra sheet from the archive, I expect.
So, getting back off-topic, are the Stingray blueprints included in the carded release or not?
