I love most of the U.K. repaints, and Stalker was no exception. I?m not sure why, but I never really had any trouble seeing him as an original character. I wanted to update him a bit. I thought it?d be a nice challenge to make a figure that looks like Stalker and not just a new Snake Eyes (SNAKE pulled this off quite nicely a while back with his Stalker). I think the secret is in the gray. The only thing that separates the original Stalker from Snake Eyes is a few touches of gray, so it stands to reason that accentuating the gray areas should be the key to un-Snake Eyes-ing him.
I?ve always liked the ?91 Snake Eyes torso, and I finally found a recipe to use it on in which it didn?t look too buff. Likewise, I?ve always dug the armor on the Range Viper boots, but could never really find a custom that they looked right on (and they seem kind of English for some reason).
I?d never really held that Low-Light gun in high regard, but it can definitely be salvaged with a little work. I was originally going to connect the muzzle holster to his left leg, but finally decided that it would look better on the backpack. That Dusty backpack is one of those pieces that looks completely original once you ditch the bedroll?fun detail stuff to paint too.
