V was not what I'd call the greatest series, but it was good. What would be nice is a fresh idea, like "Firefly". Now THAT was good stuff;-)

Mind you, I like the new Doctor Who, BSG the jury is still out, it's good occasionally. New Flash Gordon and Bionic woman I haven't seen yet.

Biddy, biddy indeed;-)

I own the doll, it's pretty cool, but extremely cheap. Almost a bootleg Ken doll.

I have often heard rumors that a 3 3/4" line similar to what was in the show was released in Italy. I've never seen proof though.

I talked to the actor that played Donovan, about 3 years ago. His name completely escapes me at the moment. I asked him about a V sequel. His answer, and I quite, from memory as best I can:

"It's a go! In fact I was a meeting just yesterday about it. It's going to take place 30 years later, after full alien occupation, and my character will escape and form a new resistance."

Now that was 3 years ago, and I haven't heard ANYTHING new. Plus, what are the odd's that I'd ask him that question the day after it was green lit? Sounds to me like a canned answer from a desperate, out of work actor.

Love to see a sequel, but it's not looking that likely.

The actor you saw is called Marc Singer I think the idea was canned myself which is a pity the Final Battle didn't go as Kenneth Johnson wanted it he ended up walking away from V altogether according to the interview he did on dvd. I would like to have seen what he had planned to finish off V.

Marc Singer indeed. Knew they name, just could not put it out of my noggin at the time.

As for the above mentioned Flash Gordon, and Bionic Woman. Neither faired well. I suffered through the whole of Flash, hoping it would get better . . . it never did. Production values were way to low, and the plot had far to many holes in it. I REALLY wanted to like it, but it's hard to.

Bionic Woman only lasted about 5 episodes, and with good reason. It was just flat out boring.

A pity that Michelle Ryan is very attractive to look at especially in Merlin now.

I liked Flash Gordon, it had it's own charm. But the Hawkman were appalling.

I loved the new FLASH GORDON. The characters were likeable and it was fun without being pretentious and 'heavy'. The very name "Flash Gordon" brings a certain amount of 'camp' baggage and I think it got the balance just right. Sure, the low budget was pretty evident, but it was on 1970's DR WHO and BLAKE'S 7 too, yet they were great shows. Karen Cliche was hot too!
I agree about the Hawkmen though. They were a good idea yet executed terribly. The only episode I didn't like was the one which featured them heavily.

Another show I liked that got canned - I'm beginning to think I'm cursed....:(

The Networks I hate the ratings system they have in the States all those good shows gone because of ratings and Futurama was a great series also axed because of ratings. I did see on the net a poll of series to be axed SuperNatural was on it yet another series I like but luckily it's still running.
