Red Shadow sentry/winter custom.

Post by Muton »

As seen in Battle Action Force's Black Major story a Red Shadow in a greatcoat. My first use of plastikote paint, and it is a superb colour match, but as it says on the tin, it doesn't like vinyl...

This is just a sneak preview as I'm awaiting a bayonet fitted AK for him.

Great stuff Muton!
Brings a whole new dimension to customs using the comics as inspiration.

Very nice work.
I haven't used it in combination with plastikote, but I've had some success using Plaid Matte (or gloss) brand acrylic sealer over some of the customs I've done that wanted to stay tacky/sticky.
Sometimes it works great other times it removes the paint I think it totally depends on the type of paint used. Might be worth a try.

I think this is one of my favourite customs I've seen! Beautifully simple, and fits in so well.

Following the fact that the Red Shadow was a repainted German WW2 soldier, I looked on Ebay.com for the 1:18 WW2 XD figures. I basically only had to swap the heads and repaint, like Palitoy!
