LDR wrote:I won these great metal action force castings, that were used as patterns.

However, I'm trying to work out which figures they are for...if any?

The legs look like German troopers, the body seems to be some sort of sailor, the head a German officer, and standard arms.

Any suggestions?

I also won the Captain Zargon heads...not cheap but I love em!

Found an old pic from Paulitoy's archives, confirming Chopper's & LDR's thoughts of the castings being used for Series 1 Action Man recreations. (Veterans are probably already familiar with these pics below but I would like to know where they came from please)

Vamprot1 - could that last figure on the far right (no pun intended) with the same legs, be an early Red Shadow officer perhaps?

Nice pics. Yes the metal castings are from the german officer and sailor. This were shown as ideas for the first af wave but didnt make the 10 chosen.
The first pic you posted shows the hand painted wax casts that never made it into production.
The red figure is indeed a red shadow officer...another figure that never went into production

Very cool, one of those prototype Series 1 were probably going to be allocated B1092, the printed number behind the Series 1 carded figures

Updated Hopper's list
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=14763&start=60#p186245

List of Phase 1A/Type 1 variants with decals (English & Spanish sticker) and Phase 1B/Type 2 variants (English & French/Dutch) confirmed B numbers, printed on their cards behind series 1 figures.

Phase 1A/Type 1 variants with decals (English & Spanish sticker)
- Mission Pilot (B1091)
- (B1092) ? (Deep Sea Diver/Commander/US Paratrooper/Mountain and Arctic, or even those prototype metal figures for German Staff Officer or Navy Sailor perhaps?)
- Frogman (B1093)
- German Stormtrooper (B1094)
- British Marine (B1095)
- Commando (B1096)
- Ground Assault (B1097)
- SAS (B1098)
- Desert Rat (B1099)
- Australian Jungle Fighter (B1100)

Phase 1B/Type 2 variants (English & French/Dutch)
- Mission Pilot (?)
- Frogman (B1500)
- German Stormtrooper (B1501)
- British Marine (?)
- Commando (B1503)
- Ground Assault (B1504)
- SAS (?)
- Desert Rat (B1506)
- Australian Jungle Fighter (B1507)

- SAS Frogman (B1526)
- Helicoptor Pilot (B1527)
- Arctic Assault (B1528)
- Naval Assault (B1529)
- Night Patrol (B1530)
- 2 Para (B1531)

Damn those figs look cool.

Really like the sailor, German officer but that shad commander is the dogs swingers.

Think I'm gonna have a bash at a vintage custom.
Been a while.

Positive casts. Bloody nice. The shad officer looks like something out of the TLOEG or Hellboy.
Let me tell you, Gunner La-De-Dah Graham, the British Army can fight anything! Intimate or not!
