So proof the Marine did once have a painted cap badge.
The back of the card has the silver number.
Marine - Painted Cap Badge
Re: Marine - Painted Cap Badge
Legendary! Any of you veterans ever seen a loose one in recent years, or am i hoping beyond hope!

Re: Marine - Painted Cap Badge
Never seen a loose one with a painted badge.
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?
Re: Marine - Painted Cap Badge
I've never seen one, looks loads better if you ask me - same with the German Trooper with painted helmet badges.
Re: Marine - Painted Cap Badge
Nice moc!
The cap badge has been known about, though:

What we really want is the 2Para with wings cap badge. No examples yet, but we can hope!

Thanks mate... nice to be appreciated!
They are not particularly rare loose, afaik. Though getting a clean, unworn, example may be a bit of a chore.
I've added the scratch off number to the list... I'll publish an updated one asap.
