I've swapped a few emails with a guy called Lou, initially about Action Force, but he also mentioned another toy range - 'Action Jack'.
I'm 99% sure I used to have some of these, and that they were a cheap 'rip-off' of Matchbox' Mobile Action Command Range (http://www.strafe.com/mac/index.shtml) which I know definitely I had some of.
Does anyone else remember either of these two ranges?

wow, I remember Action Jack, from the days when sweet shops used to sell toys also always seemed to be for sale at seaside giftshops but never in toy shops. I thought they were really cool as they were about the first small figure, smaller than AF.
One good thing was you could pull their head off and they would fall apart enabling you to mix different limbs together to make different outfits, must of been where palitoy got the inspiration.
They used to come in a box about the size of a pack of playing cards, had really ropey accs and no vehicles, I'm sure these came out while I was still into Action Man (does that sound rude or am I warped) so these must of been before star wars and AF.
My favourite unsuprisinly was the soldier, never seen the matchox stuff before though, I can't tell without a close up pic if they are the same, if I remember Action Jacks head resembled one of the walton family.
