Operation Claymore Limited Edition Commemorative Lithograph

Post by russellsheath »

Dear Friends,

I wanted to share something with you that I'm very, very excited about and to ask your opinion too....

For a while now I have been working on a commemorative, limited edition OPERATION CLAYMORE lithograph - inspired by the fantastic Battle Action Force story of the same name.

The lithograph will be in two versions - limited edition and regular.

Limited edition: Limited to 10 editions, signed, numbered with embossed logo.

Regular edition: unsigned, regular logo, no numbering.

The art is by Danger Girl / GI JOE artist John Royle and the inks will be by Eshwar, with colours by one of the top comic colourists, Edgar Delgado.

The lithograph will be in A3 size on (actual art) and feature a dedication to John Cooper, the original Operation Claymore artist beneath the logo. Once I have the colouring revisions in, I will post the finished piece for you to see.

The money made will all go towards the cost of producing the print (art, colouring, graphic design, printing and inking) with a donation to John Cooper's favourite charity, the RNLI (lifeboat charity) here in the UK.

Pricing:

The limited edition lithograph will be £40 each

The regular edition lithograph will be £30 each

Shipping will be in a poster tube (unless otherwise requested) and will be £10 UK only and £15 everywhere else.

Let me know what you think....the inks and colours look amazing from what I've seen so far - the art team have really nailed the atmosphere of Op Claymore and this will look a stunning piece on the wall of any Action Force fan.

Below are the original pencils and a 'work in progress' unfinished version of the colours by Edgar Delgado - which are currently being worked on. I think you'll agree, its pretty great so far.

I may also do a 'inks' only B&W Version, if there is interest.

I think so too!
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Out 0f interest - what other Action Force themed pieces would you like to see?

I do like the idea of 'tribute' pieces

Here are a couple of John Royle themed GI JOE pieces I've commissioned and had inked and coloured.

Lastly is my Mike Perkins Op Claymore piece, which I love.

That last one is bloody amazing.
Let me tell you, Gunner La-De-Dah Graham, the British Army can fight anything! Intimate or not!

Would anyone be interested in a very limited print run of the Mike Perkins piece too? It's approx 11 x 17 ? DM me if so. Likewise, if interested in the John Royle limited or regular prints - drop me a Adam. Especially if interested in reserving the limited edition as once the 10 are gone...they are gone for good.

Hi chums...

Just a quick update, I am now in possession of the final...final colours and the piece is now with the graphic designer for logos, before printing and signing.

I'm aiming for mid-December delivery.

Due to popular demand I will also be making a print of the Mike Perkins print (see above) and an unsigned 'inks' B&W version of the John Royle piece too.

DM for more details and payment info - I'm taking payments now to secure orders. The limited editions are going fast, so be quick to secure yours.

Here's the final colours....ill post the final print with logo, etc, when it's done.

I think you will agree that the final colours look amazing. I've also shared a shot of the original art for the Inks (B&W) version, which will also be a print.

Thanks dude - the piece is already with a graphic designer who has redesigned the AF and Op Claymore logos for the piece, but, I'll definitely use some of those for a future piece I have planned.

Really appreciate you providing those.

btw: I'm open to suggestions, are there any particular Action Force storylines board members would like to see interpreted as a print?
