50th Steeler

Post by nighthawk »

When I saw the JoeCon NF Steeler, I really wanted it. However, it was too cost prohibitive.

However, when Hasbro showcased the SDCC Steeler, I was really happy until I noticed what legs they used. Why couldn't they just use the exact same recipe as the JoeCon one? :(

Well, I found a pair of legs that kinda match his green. It's a little off, but then again, factory Hasbro products have mismatched color parts too (just look at the new Shipwreck's legs), so based on that logic, these legs are the same green...haha.

They were used on a previous custom and I had did some paint wipes on it and I regret that as I can't get it off. However, the nice thing is that as a tank driver, it's not too inconceivable for him to have grease stained pants. :) Honestly, the color mismatch is very minor and in person, it is hardly noticeable.

:zforce: Nicely done could do with a couple of :zforce:
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Thanks. I do have a Z-Force Steeler custom. He's manning the turret of my Z-Force ATC.

Here some pics of Steeler in the Chimera:

When I get a chance to pull out my Mobat, I'll take a pic of him in my modified Mobat turret. Just don't have time to dig it out right now.

Just for fun, I took a picture of how he looks with his included vest. I still like the 25th webgear better as it ties to his vintage one more. If I ever do keep this configuration, I'll have to paint his belt, but at this time, I don't want to do anything irreversible on this custom for now.
