Debaltseve fell last night. A fair number of Ukrainian troops got out on different routes under cover of darkness in vehicles and on foot, falling back 20km or so before first light. Were able to bring some wounded and KIA with them. In the circumstances they did well to get anyone out.





Outside the kettle Artemivsk mortuary handled about 50 KIA today. Nearly 170 WIA in the hospital (which has been hit a few times by artillery during the last weeks).

But could just be blah as another context is handover from France to UK as two Tu95s went up la Manche the other week. Could be even earlier footage from the Baltics before the patrol handover but France has Rafales armed to the gills east of Stettin. Suggests lazy Super E shrugging out of Le Havre-Cherbourg.

Glad to see UK still has some AMRAAMs around. Might have needed a whip-round like the Ukrainians, SMS AMRAAM to 101 etc. However, still need an SMS ALARM to 101 campaign.
