New toys ahoy.

Post by wolforrest »

Received a nice score today to bolster my collection and cheer me up as I sell off a few gems. I'm particularly happy as this picture box has eluded me for sometime now and I picked the lot up nice and cheap.

Was that the local pick up lot? Nice score
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

It got me wondering why was the Silent attack never carded?
I know the canoe is quite large but still do-able I would have imagined!

It was probably boxed because it required some construction, so wouldn't have looked as appealing. Most of the larger carded toys were ready to go.

Good point, the Hasbro line had stalker (ranger) that had a blister pack kayak that had some assembly.

I think Palitoy totally discontinued this large card packaging after 1983, maybe retailers didn't like the inconvenient size, boxes may of been considered better for shipping purposes or a simple matter of revamping the packaging to keep the range looking fresh... who knows?

Did all of the 1984 reissued boxed vehicles come ready built up or were they (like the Hasbro vehicles) 'Assembly Required' flat packs?
More news, as its made, from new Action Force!
