captain america-the winter soldier

Post by Double-Tap »

Class!!
Great action, great actors, great story, great effects.

Really enjoyed this as did #1 son.
Might be my favorite of the marvel films.
Good enough I'm hoping to go see it again this weekend.
Gotta say the toys are a bit sh*t.
I'm ordering some from a chinese seller for some custom upgrades.

Fans of ed brubakers cap comics should get a real kick outta this.
Recommended!!

I was waiting for this thread, yeah it's a great film! Definitely one of if not the best Marvel films so far. I'm one of the people that loved the first Cap' films and it was a joy to watch, so much well executed action with a good solid story. Toy wise, Hot toys have got it nailed! Pity the standard figures are sh*t but as an older collector I've pre ordered a stack of the hot toy 1/6th scale pieces.

Haven't seen any of the hot toys figs.
Not my scale and certainly not in my price range.
Chinese seller I'm using has the 1/18 figs for £3-5 which is more within my budget.

That's the nasty bit! The golden age version was (it sold out in one day) $209 and the double set is $339 both plus shipping and customs! Basically quite a lot of money but the GA one isn't out til September and the double pack January 2015!

Who knows, it may be a good film, but the title and awful choice of antagonist take me back. Luckily, it seems there will also be Batroc and Crossbones, so there will be some decent antagonists as well.

I so want to see this movie. I was going to watch it this last weekend with my son. I didn't tell him that I was thinking about it when we drove over that direction. Good thing too because the line was LOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG. I didn't feel like dealing with it.

It's a great film. Very tempted to go see it again.
I particularly liked the quote used on the gravestone at the end (I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet).
