Palitoy on Dickinson's Real Deal
I filmed a piece last November for a show that aired today on ITV1. The items featured are primarily from the Leicestershire County Council collection of Palitoy products (so this doesn't focus on Action Force I'm afraid), but I did take along one of my boxed Escape Armours.
I've not built up the courage to watch this yet!

Enjoy

If I knew how to rip it and put it on YouTube I would.
He seemed less orange in real life to be honest. He had never heard of Palitoy until I met him and I spent 5 minutes talking him through the objects, while the Researcher plugged the sorts of things they thought were worth David really picking up on. He wasn't obnoxious either, though I'm sure he has his diva moments. After the filming he said he'd enjoyed it and then he was gone in a flash, off to the next thing!
Funny thing was that they were really helpful getting me in and set-up and then I was left to my own devices to clear up and cart several large boxes back to the car.
I'd have liked to have got one of my customs in on the act, but the Action Man Coalminer won over as they clearly wanted to focus more on Action Man and that is part of the museum collection.

Oh you did a superb job there Sir!
I enjoyed that clip immensely! I work in TV myself and it's not easy to talk in front of a television camera, presenters make it look easy, but you are a natural!
Great information and a lovely sentiment behind it all Mr Baron....The boy who never grew up!!

Thanks Shaunyboy.
It was filmed in one take! I had thought they might do more takes, but I guess they're on a tight timescale. It was all a bit of a blur, but glad it came over well.
No agents have been on the phone yet
