Vintage Star Wars (just a quick snap)

Post by Shaunyboy »

I've joined a vintage Star Wars collecting forum and wanted to take a quick picture of my loose figure collection.

Image

It's actually been an interesting exercise to set up a whole line of figures as:
(a) I don't have anything on display in my house at all, so it's cool
(b) I'd forgotten that some of the figures are in very poor condition and need upgrading
(c) Some repro weapons suck...big time and must be destroyed!!

Anyway, It's inspired me to set some collecting goals for 2014 based around upgrading, completing and displaying :)

Very nice indeed.
Just got 14 more loose to collect until I have all 100 - Pics to follow. of course, most of my 14 are, unlike yours I see, the more expensive members of the 'last 17'...

I agree with you about some repro weapons, but I have only been stung once or twice, as most, I have to admit, are fairly good.

Very nice! I sold mine back in 2000 and I really regretted it, I'm too scared to buy anything now as there's too much repro stuff in circulation nowadays :(

Superb :perfectten:

They look very smart from where I'm standing, with nice white Stormtroopers too

There must be something in the air.. I had all my S.W. figures out earlier in the week for their annual sort out.

This time around I catalogued it all.
96 different characters + 49 major, minor & C.O.O. variations.

I've found the Rebelscum.co photo archives essential reading.

For repro reading go to the Imperialgunnery.com they have an almost exhaustive guide on weapon variations and repros.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, nothing can beat a nice loose collection of Star Wars figures, there's just something so right about them.

Looks good to me, sunshine. Very nice. Remember those old worn out figures got that way because someone loved them.
