Guardian
. . . this has been slowly progressing from concept to reality over about 2.5 years! I can't really believe it's taken that long, but the time frame has been hit by child care and also a few design pauses along the way.
This is the Guardian specialist mine clearance tank, with commander figure; vehicle is based on the similar design of World War II. The Guardian carries a wealth of equipment, has additional side mounted armour and uses an adapted rear section to carry a fascine. The side armour can be removed (for field repairs). I had wantd to use old cuckoo clock chain (it was a great shape and aged colour), but don't have enough and didn't have any luck finding any more; so the chain here (meant for clocks) is perhaps a bit too large scale and too clean, but it was the best I could find.
The other 'new' figure I've included here is a pioneer group leader figure (with his pointing finger), which I wanted to do as it reminded me a little of the old Airfix Red Devil officer (if anyone else remembers that figure - I may do another with te Red Beret).
Hope you like it.

Thanks both.buddusky wrote:Fantastic!

For vehicles I normally use acrylic sprays - Humbrol, Halfords and Plastikote. For figures I normally use enamels, but that varies a little.

Re: Guardian
They just keep getting better! Well done mate
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?
Re: Guardian
WOW!!! That is a fantastic custom and worth the wait, no doubt
Best Regards
