Awful! I was told by a friend a while back that eBay were pushing the free postage route, it would pay to list it that way but obviously build that cost into the initial listing, atleast that way buyers can't mark you down for overcharging them!

Yep and feebay will get more in listing fees as nobody will want to start at £0.99 and offer free postage, They would have to start at a tenner at least to cover royal mail costs on anything taller than 8cm and all the mail boxes you can buy are at least 9cm

I guess I kept getting marked down on postage as I am now only allowed to list 15 items a month even though I wasn't making anything on postage never had a problem until this new sizing and price extortion came in in April.

I think I may and give up ebay for good!

How will that work with overseas postage? They can't tack on 50 quid to every purchase they put on ebay on the off chance the buyer is from another country? Or local pickup for that matter. It'd kill off anything but local listings, it probably will anyway.

It won't work they have been screwing the small seller for ages and moving towards the big sellers and shops hopefully it will backfire on them but if there are less sellers selling smaller items not in shops ie AF people aren't going to go on there just to buy something from argos when they can go to the argos site instead, Then again it could push prices of collectables up as nobody is going to list them hmmm might have to keep hold of mine for a bit lol

I was thinking the same thing. If you buy from a retail store online it costs, usually 5%ish less than ebay even if you use paypal. No brainer really. As for AF, that's going to be a absolute bastard for us foreign folk.

This, and numerous other reasons, is why I quit eBay ages ago.
I rather sell at 50% directly to a collector than sponsoring evilbay.
