German vs UK Action Force prices

Post by wolforrest »

Could any of you well informed gentle tell me are the German AF items more expensive to purchase than the UK items?

Could you give me a rough idea by quoting a price for:

(UK) boxed Para attack
&
(German) boxed Para attack
Both in good used condition.

I am not too familiar with the German stuff but it seems pretty hard to come by over here.
Not here for a long time, just here for a good time.

Boxed and MOC German stuff is uber expensive. I could quote exactly on the para attack thing as I have only ever seen one German para attack but I would suggest that it would cost a few hundred quid. The last brit one went for £44. Incidently I have one for sale at that very price!
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

I probably would have paid between £100 - 150 for that. Would perhaps have gone higher. Would the venerable SteveD or Jonesy care to step in?

German items are very niche as there's not many known collectors. Z-Force Loon would be the best person to talk to with regards to German valuations. A lot of collectors consider German stuff inferior to the original line. However, I think it depends on rarity for example some AF versions are equally as rare as the German version and in that context the AF version is always going to command more money.

I'm guessing that was the one on eBay...however much you paid for it should give you your answer.

I've got a spare German MOC Baron if anyone is interested drop me a line.

I think it was the one recently listed on eBay with a few other German items. The Shark was the only auction that didn't end so I'm guessing some kind of deal was brokered at a nice price.
