My series 1 HQ arrived, jesus its big. Whoever had it before me set up some flashing lights on the helipad, I'll rewire it, I think it looks brilliant. This thing is so huge it hugeness is huge in it awesome hugeness. Where the hell am I going to put it? I couldn't wait to get home tonight and even though I had band practice and didn't roll in till 11 pm I still had to put it together. Sweet jesus its huge.

Very underrated in the collecting world but one of the greatest play sets ever along with the Casdon Assault Course.

You can spend ages just looking @ the wonderful artwork, every time you look you spot something you'd not spotted before, my fave's the prison cell.

I know, its brilliant. I think the LEDs do flash, the CCT looks to be a LED flasher with a couple of regulators. It runs on a 9v battery, if I get it all fixed up I'll take some video of it with Chopper on the tarmac. f*cking brilliant, if I didn't say so before. And yeah, the artwork is phenomenal.

Good stuff mate. If I get a chance today I'll have a look for the MG nests
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Agreed! I'd love to get a Casdon Assault Course, had many happy hours playing with mine when I was young.buddusky wrote:Very underrated in the collecting world but one of the greatest play sets ever along with the Casdon Assault Course.

Re: The down under series 1 HQ
We never got AF down here, so anything like this is a revelation. All I saw was in BAF comics so until BFTB and SteveD I never knew series 1 existed. Just like Mini VAM, so damned cool. I have to dig out a 9v battery, I will improve a bit on the flasher this weekend I think.
Cheers Paul, much appreciated. THis one is missing the nest, 2 guns and the flying fox hand grip thingy.
BTW, its in the lounge with Chopper and his little bird atm, just needs a tank to square it off.
