Toy Hunter prices.
Who saw Toy hunter this week? He valued a boxed Defiant at $4000 and paid $150 for a Loose Killer Whale! I thought this guy was a dealer. Surely he was way off with these prices.
Not here for a long time, just here for a good time.

Yeah his prices do seem a bit off. I thought he undervalued the Indy and Dukes of Hazzard figures too.

His prices do seem off although his ethic is to pay about half what the toy would sell for in his store. For exceptional stuff he pays more but everyone and then there's a toy that he overvalued such as the MISB Tomahawk in season 2.

I've now watched the first 2 seasons via download, it sucked that it took all this time to make it to the UK

I guess market demand, at the time of recording, courses price fluctuations too.
The only down side, which I can see, non toy collectors starting to dig out their broken old tat & trying to flog it for exorbitant prices at boot sales
"£100 for a flea bitten old Boba Fett who's arm's missing?!"
" I saw one on Toy Hunter go for thousands"

If you remember back to (If I remember correctly) about 1992/3 there was an episode of the Antiques roadshow that had some kid with his Star Wars collection on, the dealer valued it at thousands!! overnight all the old figures seemed to vanishThundershot wrote:I guess market demand, at the time of recording, courses price fluctuations too.

Re: Toy Hunter prices.
I wonder how much he would give me for my MOC Muton? It is uber rare as it is actually a German Robot on a Muton card

Watched it for the first time last night. Thought the guy was a total tool. If he came in my garage and started making piles and bargaining me down I'd kick him in the cock cameras or no.
