But why are they bubbled with accessories?
Why did Palitoy have an overstock of these figures when the ones released were not bubbled and had no accessories?

i think that gaucho and light color jammer where to be part of the AF Command Center (Non camo) but insted they used standard US issue GungHo and Staker insted is best i can guess. and thus created over stock of these two figures. i cant say about the others. maybe someone at palitoy transposted a 0 when the order said 10,000 they read it as 100,000 who knows its the great mystery of palitoy

Indeed, the mystery of Palitoy!
Palitoy bubbled Quarrel, Red Laser, Stalker and Steeler all with weapons so the bubbles are not out of the ordinary. However, Palitoy aren't known for their consistency hence the end of the line carded randomness. Steve has a bubbled Quarrel stuck onto a random Cardback. I can only imagine that the bubbled figures were left overs before the transition to AF and they were packaged with weapons to make them saleable just before the demise of Palitoy. As for the paint differences, I've got no idea.
I love Palitoy!

A few questions I have on this thread I can't seem to find the answers to. (Apologies if they lie elsewhere on BFTB)
When did these bubble carded figures originally emerge?
I was told that they came from the Palitoy factory itself in Coalville, Leicester when it closed down?
How rare are these bubble carded figures and what are they worth?
Cheers Ariaisland

Hey Justin, welcome back!
From what I've learned over the years the following were Palitoy overstock: Red Jackal, Gaucho, Blades, Hunter, Jammer (Green Camo). The majority were bought by Whizzbang Toys who sold them at US conventions. However, it's a safe assumption that others bought some as they've turned-up from other UK sources.
Here's a picture of my set, drop me a PM if you need some valuations.
