Yup, but not very naval. Maybe they just decided against a space ranger after the fact? I guess its possible they made them then decided to change their role. A Space Ranger would have been cooler.
Let me tell you, Gunner La-De-Dah Graham, the British Army can fight anything! Intimate or not!

It was probably a case of Palitoy thinking to themselves we haven't got anything for the navy & delving into the parts bin.

:2naval:'s a much underappreciated figure who nobody seems interested in despite being one of the rarer :originalaf:
There's one on ebay presently, which has been re-listed at least 3 times already, not even making it's starting price of £1.99.

I'm always surprised more people don't army build the navy assault, ground & arctic. Or the series 1 in general. A crowd of the little buggers look great together!

Shhhh, or JIJ will hear you. I'd love to, I have a few and I'd like more but they usually go for good coin, sadly.

Yeah, from the first telly advert, you get the impression that Palitoy were pitching the idea of army building :originalaf: figures from the get-go.

Mind you, how many parents in those days (or now for that matter) would of been prepared to splash the cash on two identical toys?
I know that if I'd of asked for a second Stormtrooper Mum's answer would of been: "No, you've got that one already!"
