I'm astonished that Sealion went so cheap. You got a bargain there, scooby!

Damn - had I not been away for the weekend I'd have been bidding on those! Were they on a short auction or something? I searched Thursday, and found nothing, and then come sunday night it's all over! Gutted - especially fancied the Cobra stuff!

TKW - need any trades/any you're not wanting to keep?

Once I manage to get my ass out of the office and home I'm hoping to have a good sort out tonight, so will let you know what I've got that is needing rid of, and we can see if there's owt you fancy. (I'm guessing my reading BFTB and not finishing off the work I need to isn't overly helping things...)

Hi guys.

Congrats on winning bidders, from all accounts you got some good deals.

Rest is due to go up for sale again on ebay later this week..

The prices started high as they were the lowest prices i was happiest selling for. I feel reserves on auction at lower prices defeats the object as everyone knows they need to bid higher so why not start at the price you feel they are worth.

Good luck in future auctions and still surprised the shadows didnt sell.

I disagree about the reserve thing. If I see a reserve the first thing I do is PM the seller and ask how much it is, many people put it in the item description. It doesn't have to be off-putting to bidders if all the cards are on the table. And it's also just a guideline, it means "Want £50, will accept £40" sort of thing, and as I mentioned, completely safeguards the seller.

I've never done a one-day auction, I'd much rather let things build and see if a bid-war develops. I hope you're not too disappointed with the result - at least they went to BFTB members!

Another plus side to the reserve, some buyers search for lowest price first and if it starts at 99p
your listing pops up high up the in the list regardless of reserves.
You always have the option to offer it to one of the high bidders even if it doesn`t sell at the desired price.
A long listing can attract occasional bidders whom only check a couple of times a week, but then some can`t be arsed to wait the 6-10 days so its all swings and roundabouts really.
