My girlfriend must really love me because we've just spent the last week or so lugging my stuff from my old flat to my new flat. It's been back-braking work well into the small hours... and it's been mostly my nerdy collection of comics, vhs Superhero movies, and action figures, (many of which are :AFLogo: , of course).

My gal's happy for me to spend just a few quid on myself rather than developing a drugs-&-porn habit (which seems to be the norm for a lot of blokes around here!).

I think that the harmlessness of innocence is one of the things that convinced her I was a "safe bet" as a boyfriend... and fairly reliable as partner material!

What a gal, (sigh)...!

I hope things work out okay for you, Paul463.

Yup, it's settled down for now!
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

My girlfriend collects a few lines of comics, so she understands the missing gene. Besides that she isn't bothered that much as I am keeping yhis hobby far far away from becoming what I call 'Trekky-level'. I don't take things too far, I am not running around screaming "Cobraaaaaaaa!", there is no sign of toys in the living room, but only in 'my' room.

Why do things clandestine? You accept each other the way you are or you quit.

I've just never been able to understand the appeal of the 'Trek.

Love Star Wars [well the original 3 anyway] to death, but Spock just doesn't hold a candle to Boba Fett imo...

Still, to each their own, I guess...

[that is unless your Gary Glitter of course. Do you wanna be in my gang indeed. Sorry, I digress..]
