Like others, I've now sent money, but didn't realise his reputation. He told me my Swordfish was sent yesterday - second class, so we'll see in the next day or so.
If the worst comes to it, I think you can cancel a Paypal transaction, even if it is gifted, or make a claim of some kind?
I agree, some sort of trading sanctions should apply to members with poor feedback ratings.

RB if you pay as a gift its just that a gift and you cant get the money back that is why he ask for it as a gift.
His tactics work well and seem to get people roped in and by the time he gets the money its to late.
we need to find out who all have bough from him off his recent post and see if he comes thru.
its sad this happens but i guess if we stick together we can keep the scammers and creeps out

I bought some lego figures off of him for little Humby luckily under a tenner but I hope he is'nt pulling a fast one for his sake. I won't make any threats on here but I won't put up with someone stitching my boy up. After reading the 80s toy shop thread I can see how he got peed off. I would'nt have accepted a part refund as we all have to refund in full on ebay if something does'nt arrive so if you want your reputation to stand then you refund and get what you can back from the Royal Mail. Maybe I did'nt read it properly but I can't see how he could have received them and pulled a fast one on 80s toy shop?
I think a diplomatically worded email with a warning maybe the best course of action. If he's having problems money wise etc then he needs to be honest. I am not going to accept my items being delayed if he says he has'nt got the postage when he originally said he's raising money to go to Mexico!
-3 to 5 then out on your discretion is good enough for me Baron.

Re: Problem member
f*ck. I just sent through a wad for the Hyena. Wish I'd known this before, but with the web site going tits up I'd not bothered to check.
I live in hope but I'm a realist. I hope we just didn't get done like a dinner. Worst thing is, that cash doesn't come easy to me and if he has done a fast one then It'll take me ages to recoup that.
I trust every single person that has posted in this thread, mind you that trust is built on experience. I'm with Steve, if he does pull a fast one hunt him down.......
PS, this has really f*cked my day, and I don't like that.

Just did a little homework, looks like you can dispute a payment sent as a gift after all. Phew.

Bollocks, I appear to have caused a panic, sorry. As I said to Graham, we need to give him 28 days to deliver before doing anything.

Re: Problem member
if it goes tits up and he messes you guys around well i'll be honest ban him no if's no buts just ban him, being a gobshite is a warning but being a thief and a liar then thats a banning, if you pay money for goods and you have paid postage there is no excuse none whatsoever that can stop you going to the post office within a fair time period, because he is a repeat offender then i don't think a warning or sanctions will prevent him from screwing someone over if you ban him then no one loses out.
CIA got you pushing to many pencils.
