Couple of variant questions

Post by Chopper »

First, I got an AF3, lovely toy it is too. Complete bar the outboard. It has red hub's on the wheels yet the archive pics have black hubs, but the box pic shows red hubs. Are there wheel variants? Second, I have 3 Kiwi's, there appears to be 2 types of hose for his arm. One connects straight through and the other on an 45 degree angle. Anyone notice this before?

I always thought AF3s had red hubs, the 2 near complete ones I have both have red hubs.
I've also noticed that the box of the AF5 shows the missiles with red tips but the boxed ones I've seen and certainly the one I had as a kid had white tips. However I've acquired a number of red tipped missiles from various collections which makes me think perhaps some AF5s were released with red painted missile tips?

I have yet to get an AF5, so not sure on that one. The archive pics are white. The AF3 in the archive has black rims. Might have been replaced tho, not sure who took the pic.

No takes on Kiwi's hose?

Hope it's not too cold when you take the photo mate;)
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

I'm sure we're all relieved to hear that. Now where's the photo so we can compare?
