'Little and Large'

Post by paulitoy »

Looking at Andy1672's cracking custom 'little action man' ideas got me thinking about the original Action Man range which I had a few of as a kid [now long gone of course...]

As we all know the first series of Action Force was heavily based on the existing Action Man range, long before the evil Baron was ever thought of.

I wonder if any of us have the 'little and large' versions of the figures. I nicked these 2 pics of feebay:

I seem to remember a German Action Man and a white Deep Sea Diver. Were there any other obvious ones that I can't think of?

As far as I can make out this is pretty much the whole of wave one action force/man

Australian jungle fighter, Royal marine, Commando, Deep sea diver
Ground assault, Desert rat, SAS squad leader, German stormtrooper
Frogman, Mountain and arctic, US paratrooper, Mission pilot.

Andy1672, that's great stuff!

I never knew that the WHOLE first series was Action Man Redux!

Baron, surely this should be in the archive at the very start?

That's a great pic you've created there Andy - many thanks!

Original Ground Assault kicks ass!!!!!
Loving that visor :)
I didn`t know that Action Man made such cool outfits, bit before my time.
Ground and Arctic look really futuristic in my eyes.

Definitely, if I may. I'm guessing the vehicles were new sculpt though?

Looking at these pictures, and mindful of a pending "loft sort" at Dad's this weekend, I'm hoping I might be able to recreate at least a few of these pics myself next week! Certainly the Orange Frogman, SAS and Artic suits look familiar.

Just hope I can find them up there!
