Bienvenue Sparrowhawk (PTSD temporarily prevents me remembering if you're a Flem),
S.A.S.Sparrowhawk wrote:i gotta admit the Baroness looks just like she did back in BAF during the mid-eighties,but for me the stories that were published in BAF are far better than those published by Marvel. They just seemed more realistic, and could easily be transferred to todays world.
I think we are all in agreeance with that.

In lieu of the lack of comments and as if this gang weren't slightly too Team America fugg yeah for you already - a fate seemingly so far escaped by a whisper - check out the understandably torrid Destro sentimentalist comments at the link below.*

Oh, and as a bonus, Storm Shad and HRH Baronielle.

*PS. Obviously, Destro will always be Red Jackal anyway.

How delicious. My sentiments exactly!

Apart from the necessity of prequel(s), the parallel universe explained thing having been done Dallas style vis-a-vis Joe. And then the here and now version with :eagle2: :skip: :levi: :shark: :baron2: :major: :vulture: :laser: wrapping up the quadrilectal essence.

Now, that would be geil, ganz doll.

Changed my mind.

We want :firefly: here, and we want him NOW!

And fugg the dreadnoks and the twins and blah and DNA and islands and blue and whatever in the meantime. And can someone also explain the difference between Roadblock and Heavy Duty.

:AFLogo: rules! Temporarily along with Sienna Miller. And Scarlett. Blah. Das ist die Zeitgeist, natürlich.

The difference between Roadblock and Heavy Duty is that one was an established character and Heavy Duty was a throwaway character that turned up late in the comics and made no sense that he's made it into the movie!! (I think I read somewhere that he's meant to be related to Roadblock)

It's already been confirmed that Dennis Quaid has signed up for 2 sequels but that is obviously dependent on how well this one does, but I think Firefly is a certain for 2 or 3. As long as Crystal Ball doesn't come into it. Ever!!

With everyone wearing black similar outfits I think they're trying to copy the X-Men formula, a bit annoying but it might work.

Storm Shadow's costume looks a lot better with the mask, my initial first impression is now quashed.

And finally, regarding this being the new comic continuity, boooo!!!!!, although I will still see the movie in the cinema and buy the DVD and annoy people into going to see it.

Rant over

p.s. Still annoyed that Destro's preview is without mask.

I'm always reluctant to comment on movie promos, they very rarely capture the character that makes it onto the screen. The thing that made the BAF Baroness for me was the way she jutted her chin out - if the actress doesn't capture that then for me it won't wash, but I'm happy to wait and see. Vanyo always did her better than Cooper IMO.

Not so sure about Ray Park's outfit being CGI musculature, wasn't he vaunted as being some kick-ass does-his-own-stunts ninja type when he got the part as Darth Maul? Only other thing I've seen him do was Toad in X-Men, which also required a fair amount of gymnasticery. I suspect he'll rock.
Having shook hands with Ray Park one time, I can vouch for this guy's muscles being all for real
