Back to white

Post by simmur »

Need some help, guys

Got a few wave 1 mountain and arctic lots recently, but they've got a slight yellowing to them.
Any advice on how to get them back to white?

Thread moved to FAQs, WIPS and Tips. There's been a few threads on the subject, have a search for "peroxide". Not sure if it's been tried with the rubbery UK figs though.

I'd wager the Torso's would have yellowed, not the limbs? But yeah, peroxide gives awesome results.

Careful though. I've over peroxided a Storm Shadow. Note that 7 days is too long.

1 day in an Aussie summer or 3 in winter. ;-) 7 Days could be a touch too long.

Cheers, lads

Didn't want to leave them too long and end up with half a dozen white dog turds!

I say again, I don;t think it's been done with a Palitoy straight-limbed figure. They are a completely different consistency than Joes, so go careful.

I've only ever tried the peroxide trick with vintage Star Wars Stormtroopers, but can report no ill side effects (so far).
More news, as its made, from new Action Force!
