Pimp my SAS Panther
Pimp my SAS Panther
What to do with this little beauty. It seems to have been 'how you say' 'over-stickered'.
I'd quite like to keep it as it has the rubber wheels which I'm quite fond of but I only collect Joe and Cobra stuff. Would it be possible to strip the stickers off and get some spares to turn it into a Stinger. Is that even a good idea or is it best to just leave it as it is?

Bloody Hell! That is overdone! Personally mate I would restore it to original state and if salveagable keep the Cobra stickers for other restorations. A nice complete Panther with Stalker would look cool with your collection or sell it on. Theres plenty of Stingers out so I would'nt see alot of point in converting.

Tim Westwoods certainly had a go at that one aint he??? Not done with any style!!!
I'd strip it back of stickers, then possibly resticker as SAS (WD40 apparently works a treat for clearing off sticker residue - Chopper swears by it!). I like the spare wheel on the back though, so I'd keep that!

Agreed 100% my Yorkshire buddy. And yes, WD40 does work and polishes up nicely too.
I never even noticed the spare but its brilliant.

Thank you for your wisdom, chaps.
Where does one look for a repro set of SAS Panther stickers?

Looking again at the pics, you may not need some repro stickers - the original SAS ones are still there (largely). You might just want to try subtley removing all the other crap and cleaning it up a bit???

Re: Pimp my SAS Panther
Is there a magic way of getting stickers off then. Like with Marmalade or something?

when i removed them from the crap Ferret hull to put on the decent Ferret hull that i had, i just peeled them off using a combo of finger nails and tweezers.

Re: Pimp my SAS Panther
I just used wire wool and water but that was for a sticker I wasn't going to use. I bought an 100% complete Shadowtrak roughly about the same time I joined here which had an Ironblood comic sticker on it. It would make me laugh if I had bought it off a member from here without me knowing that.Jimbobx wrote:Is there a magic way of getting stickers off then. Like with Marmalade or something?
