Re: New Doctor Who [SPOILERS]
Matt Smith needs to learn how to fight properly maybe fencing lessons or something so he looks less like a sissy fighting. But otherwise I don't regret watching him.
Spock, where the hell's the power you promised?

Re: New Doctor Who [SPOILERS]
Na, I dont think The Doctor should know how to fight. It's not like he's doing MMA or anything and he's meant to be against violence, so I think the looking like a sissy fits in with the character!

Re: New Doctor Who [SPOILERS]
David Tennant's doctor used a sword at least once and looked convincing

Re: New Doctor Who [SPOILERS]

Re: New Doctor Who [SPOILERS]
Ok good point but actors can at any given time be given training for a role especially if it's something they haven't done before.

Re: New Doctor Who [SPOILERS]
yes, but where was it necessary in any of the episodes in this season for Eleven to be a good fighter?

The "vampires in venice" one. It's just my opinion by the way you don't have to agree with me.

Re: New Doctor Who [SPOILERS]
Fantastic ending to the series...River Song must be pretty hard core, I mean whats she done (or going to) do that's so bad that a Dalek is terrified of her & begs for mercy?
(apart from revoking the law on easy access for wheel chair users
)
More wild speculation here, but I think she may end up killing the Doctor in some future point in time...maybe even rigging up the TARDIS explosion

Re: New Doctor Who [SPOILERS]
i've loeved every single episode this season, yes, even Victory.
and i'm so glad we're getting a regular male companion and a pair of companions for Xmas/next year.
Moff's also promised all will be revealed about River in season 6...

Re: New Doctor Who [SPOILERS]
I liked Matt Smith in the role and agree that regularly having more than one companion makes for more interesting times on-board the TARDIS. It can provide for better story development as they regularly get split up and find different strands to a plot. Rory's character works well and brings a useful new dimension to the to date over-played Doctor and his girls go travelling set piece (with one or two exceptions along the way of course).
Comparing this series to previous, I still enjoyed series 4 with the Davros finale much more overall - I really rated all but the first episode in that series - there were some real crackers. This series promised more than it delivered for me - I thought most of the episodes were a little average. The exception for me was the Silurian two-parter and the enjoyable Vampires in Venice episode. The Weeping Angels two-parter was also good - wish they hadn't killed the 'Bishop' character as I thought he was excellent. Victory of the Daleks could have delivered more, although I loved the concept. The final two parts were perhaps better than average.
