I can confirm (through another collector who has one) that the Black Hyena did in fact come in the red Hyena box.

Wow. Lots of great info here. This is the kind of stuff that interests me about the hobby now. I've been collecting since I was a kid, but obscure information like this is what really gets me going these days. Awesome.

I see the picture of the Hyena/Red Jackal box with the Cobra logo sticker on it.

Does anyone know if IN that box was actually the Hyena with Red Shadow stickers and Red Jackal (destro), or if in that box was the Hyena with the new Cobra stickers and the USA release HISS driver ...
