Yeah, it's meant to be an indirect way of asking a blunt question, but you're right they could just fob us off wihtout actually asking. The more I think about it I bet the Shads were redesigned due to licencing issues.

Another question

What are the chances of getting an online exclusive pack of repaints done in the old Action Force style? Most of the original versions of those characters have already had 25th treatment. (IE. Quarrel, Blades, Red Laser, Gaucho, etc.) it would be especially appropiate now with the 25th anniversary upon us.

As i said in a previous post Hasbro has leased the licence for the Action Man 40th collection to Dragon In Dreams,
DID have since released 13 waves with 1 or 2 more to follow. This could be a blueprint for a 25th Action Force
release.

i think if we're serious we would need to approach hasbro direct with some sort of proposal.
character designs, finished figs so we know exactly which body parts we need
a lot of prep work would have to go into this
also-how would we fund it, distribute toys etc (unless hasbro want to do it themselves)

Holy Cats, if it turns out they don't own the early characters ( :skip: , :eagle2: , :levi: , :skyraider: , and :desert: , :german: , :arctic: , :deepsea: ) then someone could really clean up!

Just my opinion, but I think we should definately (and politely!) ask them if they own the earliest (non-Joe) AF characters, and would we be within our rights to produce a limited run of our own figures (see the first couple of pages for discussion on this subject), would Hasbro be interested in manufacturing (or helping us to manufacture) versions of the earliest figures for 2009, and we should also ask them about the possibilty of the :enemy: , :sas: , :zforce: , :qforce: , and :space: vehicle playsets mentioned earlier by The Baron.

Its up to you chaps. :D
