Cheap belt/holster idea..

Hi guy's,
An easy, yet inventive, use for small cable ties..
...I'm thinking they could be used, different sized & colour ones, for back pack straps etc.
Also the cut off if turned upside down, so the ridges face upwards, & painted silver could pass as ammo belts for an M60...with a little imagination...
This idea only just sprang into my head this morning..& I've got a feeling it may be a subliminal memory of something I've seen done in the past so many apologies to any one who's done this already
