European Exclusive Spirit??

Post by Koth »

Hello

thought I'd use my first post to query a figure I'd seen going around recently. As the title suggests it's described as a 'european variant Spirit' figure, when I first saw it was described as 'UK variant'...

It was the original Spirit Iron Knife figure but black with a red flash across waist and legs.

is this a variant or a custom?

best regards
Koth

i think the difference between the Euro-exclusive Spirit and the UK-exclusive Spirit is semantic. some might list it on eBay as a Euro, others as a UK. otherwise, they're probably identical.

Sundance is quite right uk releases are euro exclusives, like the marauders low light is one, i don't get that at all why they released the one figure as an exclusive from what is a sub-team but who knows.

i never understood why we got some Tiger Force guys tehy didn't and they got ones we didn't.

mind you, the stories were changed...

US Tiger Force is supposed to be a jungle outfit, (so why have a skier? or a half-track arctic vehicle??) whilst the Euro team is said to be using modified Joe vehicles and captured Cobra vehicles for 'perilous assualts behind enemy lines'

i think the Euro Exclusives tiger force figures look and are much better then the international releases, i would say all though i don't know that Hasbro have a European head office with a different marketing design and sales team than our American brothers, and therefore have a different perspective on what will sell this side of the pond.

While we're at it, why is the HAVOC in the Sky Patrol team?
