Could No Face be based on Darkman?

I played the Darkman videogame and watched the third film. I have the No Face Figure and watched the movies, how couldn't I notice the similitudes before?
We have a disfigured man who wears disguises to reach his goals, and when not disguised, wears a trenchcoat and bandages on his face. Can you guess which one of them am I talking about? The main differences is that Darkman is an antihero and No Face is a villain (though slightly less evil than Dr X and Gangrene) and that while No Face wears classic rubber masks, Darkman uses a sort of synthetic skin with a flaw which causes it to rapidly disintegrate after being exposed to light for 99 minutes.
Could the Hasbro designers have been inspired by the Darkman movies to create No Face?
