Blood for the Baron!

ok, another member of my Black Dragon Ninjas! (viewtopic.php?f=84&t=6175&start=10)
Enenra (japanese smoke demon) is a deadly silent killer, not much is known about his background before being drafted into the black dragon.
he is in possession of a rudimentary version of Wraiths stealth armour, which does not allow him to become invisible, but he can blend into shadows & disorientate his enemies as they are unable to focus on him.








head/hood/cloak - Darth Nihilus
torso/arms - zartan
legs - 25th red ninja
belt - stormshadow
weapons - various roc

i saw Darth Nihilus & thought i could make an awesome addition to my black dragons using him!

Brilliant Ross!!! I love it the mask really does suit that character.

When I saw 1st picture of him, I thought it was an old fashion portriat/oil painting, rather than a 3D figure!
Must be the colours & lighting effect you used Ross...it really works very well indeed, especially on the file card.

little bit of a tweak........
i had dyed his head to make the white face mask a little darker, but still felt it wasnt changed enough from the original!
mixed a dark silver grey, painted the mask + lost the slits above the eyes & the gap in the middle to give it more of a skull feel.







think im 100% happy with him now, was just bothered by the mask.
dont know whats next for these guys, got a few more ideas up my sleeve.....

thats a pretty Dark figure mate! kinda reminds me of Baron Samedi.
did you do all the face painting yourself?
one other thing as your the RitDye Master do you add salt when you do these?

Baron Samedi, from Live & Let Die..

As well as Samedi he reminds me of this guy He is SkullBuster in the 80's/90's he was a cyborg merc in a group called the Reavers who were X-Men enemies.

ritdye is salt based....... but i dont add any, why?
have seen a tutorial that suggests adding acetone, but havent tried that yet.... will let you know how it turns out if i do!
the original pics i posted were how his face originally looked, all ive done is painted over the top.

im looking into dying some bits i have in mind and im sure i read somewhere that you needed to add salt to make it more pourous, thought i'd ask you as you're pretty clued up on this method mate
