Help with figure identification

Post by jamesb1980 »

Hi all,

I'm trying to identify some figures I've found in my loft. I've worked out most of them, but I've got one left that's really bugging me - does anyone recognise this guy?

Image

I'm fairly sure he's Action Force, but please shout out if I've got it totally wrong!

Thanks in advance!

Welcome James, are you looking to identify as a point of interest or to sell / start collecting?

Thanks again guys. Well, I was trying to establish what the figures were before deciding what to do next.

I have about 25 figures altogether. I originally thought they were all Star Wars (it's been a while...!) but turns out that just five of them are Star Wars, the rest are Action Force. It's pretty much just the figures, I don't have any weapons etc.

I was about to check out what the going rate was for them on ebay to help with my decision.....I guess you guys might be able to tell me if it's worth my while to do so? Also, if I decide to sell, whether to do as 20 singles or just one bulk sale?

You've come to the right place. If you wanted to post a pic of the set, no doubt we'll enjoy figuring out what they are and what they're worth. More than likely someone here will want them too, which would save you any ebay fees.

Well..........I don't think you guys will be too fussed. It's really just the figures, no accessories. But here's all 18 figures:

I think the figures are as follows:

Top (l-r) - Black Major, Red Shadow, Muton, Commando, Desert Rat, Ground Assault
Middle - Paratrooper, Baron Ironblood, Arctic Assault, Commander, Mission Pilot, Australian Jungle Fighter
Bottom - Frogman, SAS Pilot, SAS Commando, SAS Frogman, SAS Squad Leader x2

Am I close?

Well, you have the rarer black-gloved Shadow, generally regarded as Red Vulture. The Commander is the tan cap variant. The last two SAS, do they have the yellow sleeve logo?
