Haven't seen The Equalizer for years.

I used to have a screen grab of the opening credits - that silhouette with the glowing text - as the desktop background on my Atari ST - some twenty odd years ago, thanks to a mate with a then-rare video capture device.

Van der Valk makes me think of Alton Towers - didn't they use the same music on their ads back then?

Crackalakin, T'shot. You got me going now.

You had an ST Monkfish? I still have several Atari's from a hot rodded 600XL up. In fact on my desk in front of me I have a Falcon030 and a MegaSTE. ;-)

Ohhhh Catherine Bach, better add Erin Grey then;

Biddy, biddy, biddy.

Chopper, yeah, had an 800XL before the ST - looked down upon by my Commodore 64 owning mates. Had a ZX81 too but it only lasted a couple of months and was a pain to program.

By fluke I've been showing my kids a lot of these opening titles as part of the 'old telly was great' argument.

From the sublime...

...to the irrepressible.

Take this Sundance..

I have to admit to being pleasantly suprised that Grange Hill was shown in your neck of the woods Chop'...we had a few shows from down under shown her in the U.K. telly when I was a kid, like Under the Volcano & this..

MonkFish the 80's (& 70's) were great for T.V., Friday nights on I.T.V 8p.m...

This thread reminds me of the time I got into trouble after setting up someone's PC to play the Buck Rodgers intro every time he got an email. I have never laughed so hard when I kept hearing blaring trumpets followed by the immortal line 'The year is 1987'. They only figured out it was me after I was the only one to show any kind of IT competency :. .

Still I will raise you:

This is why the 80s rocked the best and the hardest.

There even a little bit of My Little Pony for Mr Tree.
