Laquer advice

Hello! Can anyone recommend a good Matt or Satin lacquer? I've got Games Workshop Ardcote, and Humbrol Matt and Satin, but I'm currently working on some rubbery coats for my Winter Shadows and when I've put my usual Humbrol on it's not set - it's still tacky after a week. Games Workshop sets okay, but is way too shiny for coats.
It's to go over Games Workshop Blood Red on the rubbery surface?
Anyone else who's done one of the Great Coat Shads or Germans or even repainted an Indy fig with the big coat - HELP!!

I had I think the same problem as you in that Humbrol Satin varnish ws too gloss and Matt was too dull (in more ways than one) but I bought some Humbrol Satincote and found it to be perfect - gives the same finish as original Hasbro parts on the figures ive used it on so far.
Its in little glass bottles not the tinlets the enamels come in...

I always use Humbrol Matt Enamels,i recently tried Matt Black on an Indy jacket, it took about 2-3 days to dry properly. Its now dry and isnt sticky and looks pretty good.

Krakens spot on there mate. The satincote make them look original, whereas gloss is too shiny and matt too dull.
