Best Glue?

Anyone any advice re: best glue to use on figures (series 1/2 and series 3 - different plastics)
Superglue seems to be a bit fragile and inflexible, and UHU yellow just doesn't cut it - it's great on 5000 year old bits of pottery, but not on 25 year old plastic!

Game workshop's superglue not the pvc one but the one in bottles works quite well with most surfaces.

Araldite is my choice of toy glue for the flex... but practice with it first!!

Agree. You do get super glues with different viscosities from model sites such as hannants, but I'm not sure how they would react on an AF figure.

Superglue tends to be better for the brittle plastics, though any drips will melt the surface of the plastic. It can also frost, though the frost can be wiped off later in most cases.
As Jim says, araldite is better for flexible stuff.
In both cases, if you want to straighten an arm, for example, or glue fragile pieces, such as a snapped peg, then dremelling holes and adding a small metal rod is needed (with araldite) and even better still is a screw thread

Yeah, I used superglue on Black Wolf. You can see the white residue that formed later on his crotch

Three options there would be to try wet cloth (sure you've done this), scrape with fresh stanley knife blade, or, the best option, use a very fine emery board. Usually cheap in tescos - use the ones with a charcoal grey or white surface. The grain is very fine and these are the ones that polish nails, so they don't leave scuffs (and generally are good for removing scratches
